How to be Preferred by Breakthroughs – 5 keys (Part 2)

Our passage of reference is John 4:46-50

And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. Then Jesus said to him, Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” The nobleman said to Him, Sir, come down before my child dies!” Jesus said to him, Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.”

Here are 3 more keys that we can take from the life of this nobleman who attracted a breakthrough in his life:

fears

3.Dont come to the Word of God at the point of your death.

Don’t wait till the last minute to go to the Word of God. Don’t rush God and then blame Him. Remember, you can’t rush a king.

A child of God has to be wise, in other words, “use common sense”.

Maybe you are always late for work. Before you blame the traffic and bind the spirit of delay, find out how you were prepared the previous day or how you plan your day.

Or suppose you find out you have heart issues and you are asking God why this happened. But before you blame God can you look into your lifestyle and eating habits?

Whatever issues you are facing in life, look for solutions in the natural realm and then seek the spiritual. Oftentimes, most of your breakthroughs come when you become a diligent student of life.

Daniel 2:21 says, He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”

If you keep messing up and you are foolish not to listen to God, God will not add wisdom to you because you are stubborn and hard-hearted.

The more you use wisdom the more your testimonies will be genuine faith testimonies that glorify God.

4. Speak faith

Jesus said to him, Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.” John 4:50

Faith is simply you agreeing with God.

When God says something, you take Him at His Word. No questions asked.

How will it happen? That is not your problem, that is God’s problem. Start agreeing with the Word of God.

Faith comes by hearing and faith works by speaking.

Psalm 78:41 says, Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.”

Again in Malachi 2:17 it says,You have wearied the LORD with your words.”

Don’t limit God with your words. Remember, your limitations are not His limitations. (Isaiah 55:8)

Stop speaking your fears. It is our faith that fails, not His promise. His promises are yes and amen. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

Remember, the Word of God says that on the day of judgment we will have to give an account of every careless word we speak. (Matthew 12:36)

If your words can limit God that means you also have the power to limit the devil with your words.

He has put His words in your mouth. To release and activate God’s power, your tongue is the switch.

And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth.

I have put My Words in your mouth.” Isaiah 51:16

Start speaking the Word of God over your situations.

Stop talking about your problem and start talking to your problem. If you cannot speak you cannot have victory. Period. Your tongue holds the key.

5. Find out what caused your breakthrough in the previous season

And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, Your son lives!” Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, Your son lives.” John 4:51-53

Do you remember the time when you were high on Jesus? Take time to find out what you were doing in that season that attracted breakthroughs in your life.

Was it your consistency in reading the Word? Was it your dedicated time of prayer and fasting? Was it being connected to a church that brought transformation in your life?

Diligence requires you to find out what caused your breakthroughs in the previous seasons, and do it even more.

Work on your faith and keep shining for Jesus.
