Worried About Your Future? Here’s How to Overcome (Part 1)

Ever caught yourself saying or thinking things like, “I don’t know what is going to happen to my future,” “What will happen to my children?” “What will happen to my marriage?” “What will happen to my ministry?” “What will happen to my job?”
That is the language of fear, and fear is a liar.
The truth is, your future is safe, and you will not fail. We serve a God of the future, and He has already been in your future. He holds your future.
God confirms this multiple times in His Word:
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
(Jeremiah 29:11)
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
(Philippians 1:6)
There is provision in your future because the Word of God says that those who seek the Lord shall lack no good thing. (Psalm 34:10)
The next time fear speaks, you need to talk back to that fear and say, “I will never again fear my future. Because as long as God is in my future, I shall stand.”
You may be focused on your storm right now, but I want you to see the glorious future God has for you.
Say this out loud:
There is joy in my future.
My children shall flourish.
God will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert for me.
There is no temptation or test that can come to pull me down because Jesus was tempted in every way, yet He did not fail.
In the Bible, we see how Martha was worried and saw so many things that were not right. Mary was also seeing things, but from a better location. And that location was at the feet of Jesus.
What are you seeing, and through whose eyes are you seeing it?
The more time you spend with the Word of God, the less you will see things based on your natural circumstances. You will begin to see through the eyes of Jesus. This is the better part Mary chose, and when you choose this better part, it will not be taken from you.
