Do you know that God compares us to a wild olive shoot?

Read Romans 11: 17

You, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root

Once we were wild olive shoots– having no productive yield, no purpose, and no worth. wild olive

But one day the gardener came and chopped off that wild branch from the tree. It seemed that the gardener would throw that branch off and justifiably so. But He did something amazing instead. He grafted (knitted) that wild branch (us) into His very Special Olive Tree  (Jesus) so that it may receive nourishment from the roots of the good tree and bear healthy fruits.

Beloved, In His unexplainable grace, God, the master gardener didn’t leave you and I on our own to decay. Instead, He chose us in Christ  to be HIS treasured possession that we may bear good fruit for Him!

Let us then always be thankful to God for His grace and keep reminding ourselves that: We do not support the root, but the root supports us! (Romans 11:18). And let’s bear good fruit for Him.
