In God’s kingdom, there are certain principles, which when activated brings the blessings of God on your life. One such principle that will bring kingdom exploits into your life is SERVICE. And the best thing about serving in the house of God is that you don’t need any special gifts or talents for it. Anyone can serve.
Because the devil knows that this is a principle that will cause you to reap exploits in your life, he twists it and makes it look bad so that you walk away from it.
“..Jesus, knowing that the Father had put everything into His hands, and that He had come from God and was [now] returning to God, got up from supper, took off His [outer] robe, and taking a [servant’s] towel, He tied it around His waist. Then He poured water into the basin and began washing the disciples’ feet and wiping them with the towel which was tied around His waist.” (John 13:3-5 AMP)
Jesus had the power to show off because He knew that the Father had put everything into His hands. But He shows it off by doing something very cool— He served!
He took off His outer garment and began to do the job of a servant. Washing someone’s feet was the job of the least of the servants. And this is what Jesus did. And this is the attitude God wants us to have.
What is service?
Service is God’s hidden power.
Service is love in action.
Service is seeing a need in the house of God and fulfilling it.
The House of God is His bride, His body and God holds it of great value. When you start serving in the House of God, you will learn what no seminar or Bible study can teach you.
