Two Secrets of God that you may not know

By Kim D’souza

Let me ask you a question: Does our God ever get weary?

NO, of course NOT, you’ll say.

Well, here is God secret number one: Malachi 2: 17 says — God gets wearied by our words.

The Israelites saw God perform mighty deeds and supernaturally meet every need of theirs day after day, and yet their words were majority of the times judgmental, ungrateful, offensive and filled with distrust. And that wearied God.

What about us? What language are we speaking daily? What does our vocabulary comprise? What are we declaring over ourselves and our families?

Just as a child naturally learns to communicate in the language of his father, every born again child needs to adapt to the language of His heavenly Father. Words that speak of doubt, distrust, fear, bitterness, offence, gossip – weary God.

As God’s priests and ambassadors, we should take heed of our words. For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty and people seek instruction from his mouth. (Malachi 2:7)

And here is secret number two: God loves to eavesdrop on your conversations.

God’s unknown secrets revealed.

Malachi 3:16 (MSG) says — Then those whose lives honored God got together and talked it over. God saw what they were doing and listened in. A book was opened in God’s presence and minutes were taken of the meeting, with the names of the God-fearers written down, all the names of those who honored God’s name.

Wow, when Jesus lovers talk, the God of the Universe halts to hear! And angels take down the minutes!

That’s the explosive power our words carry.

You see, earlier what Donald Trump said didn’t really matter much, till he became the President of America. Now because he is in a position of authority, every word he speaks whether on Twitter or Television carries weight!

Similarly, when we are born-again into the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness take detailed notice of our words. That’s why God says Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21)

Let’s not take our words lightly. And God says, if you utter worthy (not worthless) words, you will be my spokesman (Jeremiah 15:19).
