Recently Derrick brought to my attention a huge bee swarm (see as in the picture below) on the branch of a tree that stood right outside our window.

It was a pretty shocking sight since it had never been there previously and we were wondering how it appeared all of a sudden!

And there was something even more shocking than this – early morning, the next day when we looked out of the window, this huge swarm of bees was completely gone without a trace. The branch looked as if there had been nothing on it!

The Lord fights our battles

As we were talking to a friend in the Lord about it, he interpreted it this way for us: Bees, like locusts in the Old Testament are symbolic of the enemy. The enemy’s attack may come on you, but with the blink of an eye, the Lord will wipe your enemy out of your sight!

What the Lord did in the night

I was reminded of Exodus 14, where we read about the Israelites who we terrified when they saw Pharaoh and his army chasing them through the desert, and in front of them was the Red Sea.

Meanwhile the sun had set. And in Exodus 14:21 we read, ….all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong East wind and turned it into dry land. (Emphasis mine)

Exodus 14: 24 says: During the last watch of the night the Lord threw the Egyptian army into confusion. (Emphasis mine)

Many times in our lives we go through valleys and it seems like ‘our night’ is never ending. Like the Israelites, some of us even start questioning God.

But we serve a God who neither slumbers nor sleeps. (Psalms 121:4). He is working behind the scenes to make sure every dart of the enemy works together for our good!  As in the above scripture while God’s children were worried about their tomorrow, all throughout the night, the Lord was busy making a supernatural way for them.

I speak prophetically over you as you read this: Rejoice for your daybreak is near! The God you serve never sleeps nor slumbers. The fire that you are walking through will not burn you and the water that you are in will not drown you. Hold on to Jesus for your joy is coming in the morning. Just as the swarm of bees and the swarm of Egyptians that disappeared overnight, your situation will change overnight!

Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians (problem) you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. (Exodus 14:13-14).
