The Key to Birthing God’s Promise

Are you in a season where you are waiting for God’s promises over your life to come to pass?
The Bible talks about Joseph in Psalm 105, who had received a Word from the Lord, and until the time came to fulfil his dreams, the Lord tested his character.
“Until the time that his word came to pass, the Word of the Lord tested him.”Psalm 105:19
Whenever you get a Word from God, you need to hold on to it because the WORD will reveal your character. It will also reveal how prepared you are for what God is bringing to you.
It is important that you speak the Word that God speaks to you so that it becomes YOUR WORD. This season, don’t back down, don’t compromise, don’t give in.
Waiting on the Lord
The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31, “Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”.
Can you wait patiently for the Lord to bring delivery to the Word He spoke to you, rather than you trying to bring it out in your own strength?
When Abraham got a promise from God, he made the mistake of trying to fulfill it in his own strength instead of waiting for God to bring it to pass. Sometimes, when we have waited for too long, we tend to get impatient like Papa Abraham. We look for suggestions that people can offer to bring us what we desire.
Remember, God is the ONLY one who can bring to birth the dream or promise that He has placed in your heart.
Allowing God to Birth His Promise in You
The place you decide to occupy in your own strength is the place you will have to sustain with all your strength. The place that you allow God to bring to pass is the place you will flourish in. So, the key is to Enjoy the Journey!!
Nothing that is forced into Labor will last. But, everything that is birthed with Grace will endure. “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” John 15:4
A plant only needs to stay rooted and keep digging its roots deeper and deeper into the soil. As you focus on staying rooted, you will soon locate the river of God.
This season, when your character is tested, don’t abort what God is trying to birth in you by taking things into your own hands. Instead, hold on to the promise that God has given, and you will see the victory!
