Facing Something Bigger Than You? Here’s How You Can Win It

Facing something that is bigger than you? Congratulations! Because God is in the picture!
God will always invite you into an assignment that is far beyond what you can do. And, that’s His way.
We, on the other hand, like to stay comfortable. We like our routines and our safety. But when you carry the DNA of God, you begin to understand how He works. God will always come to you with an invitation that stretches you beyond your ability.
We see that in the life of Moses. The Bible says that Moses was content to live with Jethro, tending sheep, enjoying his family, and living a peaceful life. Everything was fine and everything was familiar, until God called him out of his comfort zone into something that was way beyond him.
“Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”Exodus 3:9-10
God’s people were not a small group—they were nearly six million!
In that moment, God gave Moses an invitation that felt far beyond his reach. That’s what happens to us too.
The gap between where you are and what God is calling you to do is where fear tries to enter. “What if I fail? What if this turns out to be the worst decision of my life?”
What Is God’s Expectation of You When You Are Facing a Big Problem?
This is exactly where God wants you to function by faith, and not by fear. The bigger the gap, the greater the fear may seem; but the greater the gap, the more room there is for the grace of God to fill it.
So if you are in a situation where everything feels overwhelming, where things seem completely beyond your control, know that God is in the picture.
And it’s also a sign that you are growing. Because when you grow, your fears grow too. They’re no longer the small fears you once had.
Remember, the battle becomes fiercest just when God is about to manifest something big in your life. The enemy can almost see you reaching that point, leaping over him into victory.
That’s why the enemy trembles. He knows that he’s already defeated. His only strategy now is to flood you with fear, hoping you’ll forget who stands beside you.
You may be standing very close to your promised land. Hold onto God’s promise over your life and very soon you will see those victories manifest in your life. In this season, know your God, and know who you are in Him.
