Why God Can Never Be On Time!
By Pastor Kim D’souza
Oh yes, you read it right. Our God can never be on time.
Because He is always ahead of time. In fact, He is the one who created time.
David says in Psalm 139:4, Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.
Now, this is not a Scripture just to comfort and cushion us. But do you know this verse is a mighty sword in your kitty handed over by the God who is ahead of time?
So, we understand by the verse that even before we make a prayer or voice our need, God knows it.
But what does God do with that knowledge?
I will tell you.
He makes a provision for you beforehand! Even before voice out your concern, the God who is ahead of time sends you the solution.
In the book of 2 Kings 6:8-12, we read every time the King of Aram would devise plans to attack Israel, God would beforehand reveal them to Elisha and flop them all. Over and over this happened to the point that the King of Aram thought that there must be a traitor in his army!
You Will Have Solutions Beforehand
Wow, that’s the kind of grace available to every child of God. To have solutions through God’s Word beforehand!
Much before weapons may be formed to prosper against you, God plans their failure! This is because your God is ahead of time. All we need to do is to fix our hearts and ears on Him.
Recently my father graduated to glory. I remember getting a frantic call from my family one afternoon saying, he had fallen down and had to be urgently hospitalized. The same day, early in the morning God gave me a Word from Isaiah 41:10, Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
I didn’t understand that time that why God would give me a word like that.
But first came His word. Then came the news.
In other words, even before I could say a prayer, God knew it. And not only did He know it, but He also gave me His Word to stand on. This Word was my anchor that held me tight in my storm and saw me through.
Hear oh child of God, the God we serve is in your tomorrow even before you reach there.
Pray: God, still my heart that I may hear your voice, knowing that you have me covered. Help me to tap into the grace of soaring above the storms even before they scheme to hit. In Jesus name.
