Are you a believer? If yes, then as a believer, do you think you are living a victorious and conquering life in Christ just as God has promised in His Word?
Well, you can be a born again believer and still be struggling or merely surviving in your day to day life. And I am not talking about not having any problems. Of course we all have! But what I am talking about is overcoming every problem and standing strong in His grace despite having fiery darts being thrown at you.
You see, believing in Jesus is the first and most important step towards eternal life, but the choices you make everyday will determine whether you are really living a overcomer’s life that Jesus died to give you.
Here’s the difference
The only difference between a believer and a victorious believer is this:
One yields more to the Spirit while the other does exactly what his flesh demands.
Many Christians are failing terribly even after being born again because their choices are in the flesh. The Bible says in Romans 8:13, For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the flesh, you will live.
There are only two things a christian has to do to succeed effortlessly no matter where you are and what you have:
1. Renew your mind with the Word
From the moment we are born, our mind is being programmed to live and believe according to the thinking of the world. This is where you need to erase every distorted picture that has been put in your mind and renew it according to the truth i.e. God’s Word. Exercise this by taking into captive ‘every thought’ that is not in alignment with the Word of God, and bring it under subjection to God. (2 Corinthians 10:4)
2. Stop making decisions in your flesh
A majority of the believers are remaining stagnant in their life even after years because the choices they are making are in the flesh. You need to stop conforming with the world and make a conscious effort to be led by the Spirit of God. The Bible says, As many are led by the Spirit are sons of God. (Romans 8:14)
And mind you, doing the above two is not an one time activity, but a process – the more you exercise, the more you will receive.
To live life as a routine or to live displaying His glory through you. The choice is yours!
