The Reason Why You Are Not Seeing God’s Promises Fulfilled

When God promised Abraham a son, He waited till every human capacity in Abraham and Sarah to produce one was dead.
There are things that only God is supposed to supply in your life. You may be holding onto God’s promises over your life. But here’s the truth: God’s promises can only be fulfilled by God through our total dependence on Him, and not through the flesh.
Our over-dependence on people, relationships, money, and status to fulfill them can actually destroy or delay God’s plans for our lives. God’s promise of birthing a supernatural miracle, Isaac, had to be placed on hold until Abraham carried out his plan to birth Ishmael with his own effort and resources.
Romans 4:18–21 says Abraham did not consider his own dead body, though he was over 100 years old, nor the deadness of Sarah’s womb, because she was past the age of childbearing. But contrary to all hope, in hope, he was fully convinced that He who had promised was also able to perform what He had spoken.
There is a human skill that can produce an Ishmael, but the promised Isaac is the result of total dependence on God to produce what He promised.
God will even bless your mistakes, and work them for your good, since you are called according to His purpose. But God will never allow the flesh to produce what the Spirit has to birth in your life.
That’s the nature of God.
Abraham’s resolute faith in God was the result of many encounters long before the miracle of Isaac. Many Christians are happy with only listening to messages to be motivated enough for that day. But Abraham pursued God and changed every part of his life until he encountered Him.
Sermons can inspire and motivate, but pursuing an encounter with God requires obedience.
Abraham was strong in faith, staying in hope when there was no hope in his physical body to produce one. Why? Because he was convinced that God never needed help to raise dead things in his life. He needed faith.
Can you surrender and trust God enough to allow Him to produce what only He can? If you can, then you will see the manifestation of God’s promises over your life.
Shalom.
Abraham was convinced that God never needed help to raise dead things in his life. He needed faith.
